) February 17, 2009 -- Software company, The Development Cloud has announced that it is to distribute 50% of the revenues of its commercial software products to contributors of the associated open source software projects allowing contributors to earn uncapped financial rewards.
All proprietary code for products sold by The Development Cloud is to be transferred to open source projects for input from the global development community as well as internal development teams. Contributors to these projects whose input is included in the commercial versions of each product will receive a percentage of product revenues as decided by a regular committee with independent representation.
