Open Source Intelligence Threat Mapping Tool Can Now Integrate Your Third-Party Subscriptions

) January 22, 2009 -- iThreat Solutions® (http://www.ithreat.com) announced today that corporate security departments can finally see all their mission-critical intelligence and analysis on one screen.

The new "intelligence fusion" capability of the iThreat Global Intelligence Monitor (GIM) means customers can combine their own third-party subscriptions with iThreat's open source intelligence data, to make a one-stop dashboard of customized threat information and analysis for context. This helps Chief Security Officers and their teams extend the reach of their intelligence programs, and develop timely and accurate responses to organizational threats.

"The best-informed security departments tell us they rely on a variety of credible sources for indicators of potential trouble," remarked Osbourne Shaw, vice president of iThreat Solutions®. "But those sources are usually in different formats and locations. Aggregating proprietary, third-party, and open-source intelligence saves time for the analysts who are evaluating potential threats."

The subscription-based iThreat GIM is currently the only tool that allows security departments to automatically combine and geotag multiple information streams into a secure, near-real-time web-based map. The GIM is also the only source for iThreat's proprietary collection of Red Flag threat data, all of which is not available through Internet search engines.

iThreat reached agreement in November 2008 with international affairs intelligence company Stratfor, to have situation reports from Stratfor added into the GIM.

iThreat GIM is used by security professionals at Global 2,500 companies with assets, employees and facilities around the world.
