) September 9, 2009 -- Microsoft Malaysia, Hewlett-Packard Malaysia, and Cisco extended their market leadership by taking 21 out of 45 available categories in the 8th edition of the Computerworld Malaysia Readers Choice Awards (RCA). The winners of the 2009 RCA, which are also commonly referred to as the 'Oscars of the IT industry', were announced on 7th of September by leading technology and business publication Computerworld Malaysia.
In all, Microsoft took ten awards, HP six, and Cisco five. Other star performers who took home more than one award were: IBM and SAP, each with four; Symantec with three; and, 3Com, Dell and Telekom Malaysia with two each.
The honour roll also includes APC, Blue Coat, Fuji Xerox, Nokia, Oracle, Polycom, Samsung and Sony.
