) June 17, 2009 -- The New Kayxo Exchange Appliance Connector (KEAC) takes advantage of the corporate search power of the Google Search Appliance (GSA) and selectively unlocks the content stored in Microsoft Exchange.
KEAC Screen Shot
Since Kayxo Exchange Appliance Connector uses MAPI (the same protocol MS Outlook uses to communicate with Exchange), all the objects and their information are available to be retrieved on demand, using the fastest access method to the Exchange Server and bringing a complete set of information not accessible through other methods (CDO, WebDav, MS Exchange 2007 Web Services). This also allows KEAC to access your company's information without the need of installing any agent on the Exchange Server or duplicating data into a second "searchable" repository.

Key Benefits
About the Architecture:
The Kayxo Exchange Appliance Connector will continuously gather information from the MS Exchange Server on the Mailboxes and object types according to its configuration (mails, appointments, contacts, etc.) and provide it to the Google Search Appliance for indexing purposes. These green lines show how this information flows without any user intervention.
This indexing service of KEAC can be stopped and resumed at any moment, just like an Outlook client is synchronized with the Exchange Server.
