Cloud 10 and Open Range Work Together to Bring Wireless Broadband -- And Jobs -- To Hundreds of Communities Across America

) May 19, 2009 -- Cloud 10 Corp., an industry-leading contact center service utilizing at-home professionals in 32 states across the country, today announced it has been selected by wireless broadband services provider, Open Range Communications, to provide multi-local customer care supporting the roll-out of wireless broadband services to 546 communities across America.

Earlier this year, Open Range announced it had received a $267-million Broadband Access Loan from the United States Department of Agriculture's Rural Development Utilities Program (RDUP), along with $100 million in private funding from One Equity Partners (OEP), the private equity arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM). The funding enables Open Range to launch affordable high-speed broadband Internet and voice services to more than six million citizens in 546 un-served and underserved communities using WiMAX technology, within five years. Those deployments will commence in Colorado this year.

Cloud 10 began working with Open Range in mid-2006, pre-funding, and as a result of the Company's innovative and superior solution, was awarded a 5-year exclusive contract with Open Range to provide all of Open Range's customer care needs.

Cloud 10 will provide the following services:

  • Inbound sales
  • Field sales support
  • Customer service and billing inquiry support
  • Technical support

"We have enjoyed working with the Open Range team over the last few years, and are thrilled that we are now turning what was a dream to provide essential communications services to underserved American towns into a reality," said Sean Erickson, CEO, Cloud 10. "While there are many benefits that will be realized by these communities as they finally have access to faster Internet options otherwise only available in more populated areas, we are most proud of the fact that Cloud 10 will be employing individuals in these towns to serve their neighbors."

Cloud 10 has provided Open Range with a broad range of consulting services over the last several years as Open Range has progressed through its planning and funding stages. These services include customer care strategy, contact center technology procurement and operational launch services.

"Open Range chose Cloud 10 as its customer care provider because of its experience, partnering approach and shared vision to bring wireless broadband services and high quality employment opportunities to un-served and underserved rural American communities," said Bill Beans, CEO and founder of Open Range Communications. "Cloud 10 has been an instrumental partner for Open Range as we have moved from our development stage to operations."

Cloud 10 combines its unbounded recruiting reach with its proprietary tools and process to transform the rapidly growing @Home customer care phenomenon, and it continues to be one of the fastest growing companies in Colorado since its founding in 2005.
